Four month after the first version, the new version of FamFamFam Air App is finally ready and now available.
There is no major changes about functionalities, but some general improvements in the app.
Here is the detailed changelog of this new version :
- Faster !
The load of each icon at start has been removed to improve the load of the app. Now there is no more « loading bar » at start, just a small loading which appear 2 seconds. - 81 new icons !
Yes the default FamFamFam Silk Icon pack has 1000 icons, but an extended version is available on Google Code (link available in the app).
So it adds 81 new icons to the original pack. - « Faded » version available for each icon
The extended pack also includes a « faded » version of each icon, and you can save it in addition to the original one by checking the box in the bottom of the app. - Works offline
Due to the online update check at start, if you were without any internet connexion, the app wasn’t working. Now it’s fixed, if there is no internet connexion, there is no update check. - Konami

The application has had also some minor changes about its interface, like « new search » button, « file saved » confirmation, or « know more » inside-window.
FamFamFam Air App has been only tested on Mac OS Snow Leopard and Windows Seven, so if you are using an other operating system and it doesn’t work, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Unfortunately, due to a bug into the Auto Update functionality, it’s necessary to install the new version from the website (just click on « install » from the website, it will update your current app).
Finally, due to bugs in Adobe Air about functions used by the new version, it requires Adobe Air 1.5.3 (which is the latest available version).
Currently, FamFamFam Air App is also working on Adobe Air 2 beta.
